Podcast
Click got 'grass? logo above to hear my podcast, interviews with the top musicians and songwriters in bluegrass and (sometimes) country music. They are open and eloquent in discussing their music, their lives, and the ups and downs of being a professional musician.
Click the photo above to enjoy my chat with Larry Cordle

Larry Cordle is one of the legendary songwriters and singers in bluegrass and country music. He's best known for writing #1 hits "Highway 40 Blues" for Ricky Skaggs, "Murder on Music Row" for George Strait, and "Against the Grain" for Garth Brooks. He has multiple Grammy and IBMA awards, and has written top hits for Dolly Parton, Reba McIntire, Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss, Trisha Yearwood, etc.

He spoke at length about the inner workings of Nashville's music business and "Music Row", his long friendships with Bill Monroe and Garth Brooks, the demise of real country music in the late 90's that led him to write "Murder on Music Row", and the hard work, frustrations and rewards of being a professional songwriter.
He's a throwback to the generation of musicians where songwriting was a full time, 9-5 job. A delightful and true down-to-earth music man!
