While I take time off from presenting concerts for a hip replacement, I'm doing more podcast interviews. There are twelve recorded, with more in the works!

I think you'll enjoy my chat with bassist Todd Phillips, who was best buddies with Tony Rice and David Grisman in the mid 1970's. Tony had just left the hard-driving Kentucky bluegrass of J.D. Crowe and The New South, and moved to California to play what was to become "Dawg Music".

It's an inside look at one of the most fertile periods in American music history, from one of the key players.

Episodes to date:

Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Missy Raines, Phil Rosenthal, Doyle Lawson, Justin Moses, Todd Phillips, Rhonda Vincent, Luke Bulla, Mark Schatz, Jason Carter, Rob Ickes, David Grier
