House Concert
166 Mather Street, Hamden, CT

Rakish is Maura Shawn Scanlon on fiddle, clawhammer banjo and vocals, and Conor Hearn on guitar and vocals.
Rooted in tradition with an ear toward the future, contemporary folk duo Rakish has an infectious playfulness on stage. They share an unbridled love for the traditional sounds of Celtic and American music.
Nate Sabat is a well known songwriter, and was the bassist and sang with the band Mile Twelve. He's played at GuitartownCT many times over the years.
Podcast

My latest podcast episode is a chat with guitarist, singer and teacher Michael Daves.
Michael is an A-list guitarist who has performed with every current bluegrass star. He's probably best known for his 2011 Grammy nominated duo with Chris Thile, "Sleep With One Eye Open".
We chatted about bluegrass guitar past and present, bluegrass melody singing, his favorite bluegrass duo partners like Chris Thile, Tony Trischka and Britany Haas, jazz sax player and teacher Yusef Lateef, and much more. Not enough time to cover all his interests and knowledge!
