GuitartownCT Productions presents the best live bluegrass concerts in Connecticut. Since 2008 we have been bringing live bluegrass music to the area. Married to 6-time Grammy winner Sarah Jarosz, he does a lot of studio work these days. Formerly with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, East Nash Grass and Nickel Creek, he is a member of the Grand 'Ol Opry house band. He has a lot to say about being married to a star like Sarah Jarosz, the touring life, a "regular job" like studio work, and the state of contemporary music. A fascinating and insightful guy. The bluegrass classes at Neighborhood Music School in New Haven are almost full, with maybe two spots left. Classes are limited to six people. The only prerequisite is basic facility on a stringed insument like guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, dobro or bass. For information and sign-up forms, you can visit the NMS website HERE. You can also email me cwuerth@sbcglobal.net. Bluegrass Jams Anyone with basic facility on a stringed acoustic instrument like guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dobro or bass is welcome to play along. We sit in a circle, and take turns leading and soloing on classic bluegrass (and sometimes country) songs. If you choose, you can just strum along quietly in the back. Feel free to come listen, and if you enjoy it you can always throw money in the tip jar, which all goes to Best Video!
